About User Information Privacy

Enable or disable the display of users' non-directory information by selecting or clearing User Information Privacy role permissions. Directory Information is any information that should be visible to users, like the information in a telephone book, and non-directory information is information your organization holds private.

User Information Privacy permissions determines if non-directory information such as users' first, last, and middle names, username, email, and org defined ID are visible in tool data (such as discussion posts, survey attempts, grades, etc.).
