Setting up your Desire2Learn Site

Desire2Learn recommends you complete the following tasks as part of your organization (site) set up. Work with your Desire2Learn Account Manager and Implementation Specialist if you need assistance.

  1. Create course templates and offerings (and any other org unit types in your organization hierarchy).
  2. Set up default organization tools. Enable or disable availability of tools in your organization.
  3. Create organization level homepages.
  4. Create navbars for your organization.
  5. Create roles and assign permissions to them.
  6. Configure DOME variables for your organization.
  7. Create and enroll users in your organization and other org units.
  8. Customize language terms to match your organization's branding and pedagogy.
  9. Set up mobile carriers to enable SMS notifications from your organization and your courses.
  10. Set up profile card settings for users in your organization.
